DRYSDALE’S Under 16 team had a tough day at the office against Bannockburn on the weekend.
The young Hawks went down by 78 points after a very competitive first half.
Luke Dries, Jarryd Rees and Tom Ritchie were best for Drysdale.
Drysdale fared better in the Under 14 Division One game, beating Colac by 52 points. Will Kilpatrick booted three goals in a best afield performance while team-mates Jeremiah Kalbitzer and Bailey Hume were busy all game.
The Hawks were beaten by Barwon Heads in their Under 14 Division Four game. Lachlan Durbidge was excellent in the 34-point loss while Joel Watson and Zac Vincent were solid contributors.
Drysdale won a thriller in the Under 14 Division Seven competition by two points against Torquay. Ashton Bonney-Wright bagged three majors while Fletcher Quinlan, Umi Roberts and Noah Clifford worked tirelessly.
Drysdale Humphrey smashed Bell Post Hill in the Under 12s. The boys had a 68-point victory, keeping their opponents scoreless for three quarters.
In the Under 10s, Drysdale had a 19-point win against South Barwon. Trailing by a goal at the last change, the Hawks booted four goals in the final term and kept South Barwon scoreless.
Drysdale battled hard, but was outclassed by Torquay in the Under 9s. However, the boys never stopped trying.
