Portarlington has a massive 15-point break between it and fifth-placed Ocean Grove in the BPCA B Grade competition.
The Demons sit in second place and slipped from top spot after Wallington claimed an outright win to leapfrog them on the ladder.
Port enjoyed a comfortable win against Collendina in Round 5 after compiling a solid 248 on day one.
Ash Gillett (56), Travis Lang (50), Brad Vagg (49) and Brodie Andrew (48) all played well to get their side to a match-winning total.
In reply the Cobras managed only 136 with crafty seamer Dean Deluca (4/29) doing most of the damage. Deluca was well supported by Lang (3/31) and Andrew (2/13).
In C Grade, Port put in a much-improved effort, but still remain winless after losing to Collendina. The Demons are anchored at the foot of the table, but made a competitive 187 on day one – Brent MacLeod making a superb 87. Collendina passed the total on day two with eight overs and six wickets to spare with opening bowler Matt Wakefield (2/48 from 16 overs) trying hard.
In D Grade, Port are ninth on the ladder and with a final seven to contest finals this season, the Demons are in with a shot. Port enjoyed a Round 7 victory against Anglesea with Elijah Wall having a terrific game, taking 4/18 and making 37 not out while Raj Kumarasingham was also unbeaten on 56.
