DRYSDALE will resume its Bellarine Peninsula Cricket Association A Grade season with its bye out of the way and a genuine chance of pushing for finals spot.
The Hawks face Ocean Grove twice starting this weekend and then play Portarlington, Barwon Heads and Anglesea to finish off the home-and-away season. They sit fourth on the ladder half a game behind Ocean Grove, which suffered a shock loss to Queenscliff.
In B Grade, Drysdale is also half a game out of the four in sixth place. They defeated Wallington with Lachlan Birse (65) and Daniel Hopgood (44) getting runs against the Wallabies. Luke Halliwell took five wickets.
The pattern continues in C Grade with the Hawks half a game outside the top four after losing to St Leonards. The Hawks made a competitive 178 on day one, but the Saints chased it down to remain unbeaten.
In D Grade, Drysdale is second on the table and is having a good season. Hayden Damiani is leading the way with the bat with 206 runs for the season while Russ Potter has nine wickets.
