The annual Festival of Glass is on again.
The Glass Expo, which is always the most popular day on the festival’s calendar, will be held on 19 February at Christian College hall, Drysdale.
The festival is an initiative of the Drysdale and Clifton Springs Community Association and has:
* Specialist displays and demonstrations from community groups with expertise and interest in glass.
* Glass art supplies and glass art items made by exhibitors for sale.
* Demonstrations – watch experts in diverse glass art media including mosaics, leadlighting, glass fusing and beadweaving.
* Try-it-yourself sessions, including Mosaic sessions in partnership with Bunnings Leopold.
* Treasure hunt – activities and prize draws – pick your prize out of a real treasure chest.
* Glass art awards – entrants and winners on display.
* Food and drink – Bean Cravin Coffee Van, Curlewis and Clifton Springs Lions sausage sizzle and cold drinks.
Glass on Film is back on again with a series of short films on glass in the air-conditioned auditorium at the stadium.
At the time of writing, 45 exhibitors had been approved to display at the festival.
