Olivia Mazzone was surprised and grateful when she was announced she was the winner of the inaugural Peebles Print Prize.
“I was excited to be selected, it was a great achievement considering the high standard of entries from both established and emerging artists,” Olivia said.
“I did a workshop with Graham Peebles at Queenscliff Gallery and Workshop last year and I love Graham’s work.”
Olivia’s winning entry has been sold and the generous $4000 sponsorship, donated by 360Q’s Barry Iddles, will be invested in new equipment
The exhibition, that runs until 10 September, provides an opportunity for visitors to the gallery to vote for their favourite exhibit. The winner of the People’s Choice award will get $750.
Raffle tickets will be available for purchase for $5 each. The full proceeds from these tickets will be shared equally between the two selected causes and three ticket holders will win the three prints by Graeme, Adam and Anita.
