Hawks win close battle

Drysdale enjoyed a thrilling win in its Under 17 match against Ocean Grove on Saturday.
The Hawks batted first and made 9/84 from 25 overs with Zack McLennan top-scoring with 21 and Will Edwards was unbeaten on 19.
Ocean Grove then fell three runs short with McLennan taking two wickets and Isaac Gee claiming two scalps.
Marshall came away with the points in the Under 15s after a superb batting display againt Drysdale.
Bailey Hume (24 not out) and Darcy Bassett (21) were good with the bat for the Hawks, but Marshall cruised to victory.
In the Under 13s, Ocean Grove defeated Drysdale in a close game.
Batting first, Drysdale made 5/75 and Ocean Grove replied with 8/78 with Luke Roebuck-Stewart taking 3/1 from two overs.
Portarlington’s Under 13 side had a spirited win against Collendina.
Caleb Tilders was the star with 21 retired in Port’s score of 4/92. The Cobras made 3/75.
