The Portarlington Bayside Miniature Railway group is calling for volunteers.
The railway is on the search for versatile volunteers to fill several different positions, such as driver, guard, signaller, maintainence crew, kiosk and station staff.
In each of these positions you can assist with roles such as customer service, public direction, ticket collection, signal operation, guard, maintenance crew etc and elevation to driver for those who are interested.
You will have the opportunity to be part of this newly re-formed vibrant not for profit association, which is planning to further develop the railway with track extensions, tunnels, playgrounds, walking trails and much more.
The railway will celebrate its second birthday on Sunday 10 December, from 11am to 4pm, with everything on the day costing just $2 – train rides, food, drinks, ice-creams.
Bring a picnic lunch or have lunch on site. Picnic tables, seats, electric barbecue and toilets all available on site.
